I am a researcher at CIIRC and the University of Ostrava, where I specialize in Machine Learning. I hold a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and a Masters's degree in Fine Art. I have a broad range of interests, but my primary focus at the moment is on Language Modeling and Machine Learning methods that draw inspiration from higher-level cognitive functions like planning and reasoning.
My previous experience includes working on several industrial projects that involved applications of Computer Vision and applications of Machine Learning in Software Engineering.
I also had the opportunity to spend a semester at the Department of Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University, collaborating with Paul Smolensky. In 2023, I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to support my research stay at Harvard University to work on a project at the intersection of Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, and AI with Samuel Gershman and Joshua Tenenbaum.
